Hall of Grandhotel Pupp, Mírové náměstí 2, Karlovy Vary

Miriam Němcová will conduct the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Orff’s Carmina burana, the most performed piece of the 20th century, as a congratulatory concert on the occasion of a significant jubilee. Miriam was in VUS in 1980-1984 as assistant to Prof. Jan Kasal and then as chief choirmaster until 1986. She resumed closer cooperation with VUS in 1999, when we recorded Dvořák’s Requiem together and then repeatedly performed Carl Orff’s cantata Carmina burana, whether at the Rudolfinum, Smetana Hall or various Open-Air concerts.
