31. 10. 2018 - 7:30 PM

Prague Hlahol, Masarykovo nábřeží 16, Prague 1

VUS UK has prepared a brand new programme to commemorate the centenary of the Czechoslovak Republic as a part of our Music and word cycle. We will talk about the most important historical moments of the year 1918 including the triumphant arrival of T. G. Masaryk to the newly establish Czechoslovakia.
Music will comprise the big names of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century – Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák and Josef Bohuslav Foerster. There will be also some forgotten pieces, such as the salutation used to welcome TGM at Wilson´s railways station in Prague, composed by none other than Vítězslav Novák.
